Kodak Black is set to perform in New Orleans next week and the venue is preparing for the worst after the South Florida rapper recently dissed hometown hero Lil Wayne.

Lil Kodak has a show at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans next week. The venue is taking extra precautions, reports TMZ on Saturday (March 9). The site's sources say the venue believes Kodak dissing Wayne could lead to someone attending the show wanting to retaliate. According to the report, security will be monitoring social media in the days leading up to the show to see if any threats are issued. Local police will also provide extra security for the show in hopes of deterring any criminal behavior.

As previously reported, Kodak was performing in Miami at LIV Nightclub when he inexplicably dissed Tunechi. “Where Lil Wayne at?...You fuckin’ maggot,” Kodak said. “You should’ve died when you was a baby."

Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter defended her father on Instagram. “You new lil rappers need to start giving props and respect to the Goat," she typed. "My father don’t bother nobody. He won’t even react to what was said. This man be in his own world so leave him tf alone." Wayne has yet to responded.

This isn't the first time Kodak has dissed a rapper seemingly out of nowhere. Last year he threatened to fight A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Don Q for reasons unknown. He later apologized to Boogie.
