KR is being accused of some very serious crimes. The rapper has been arrested and charged with the rape of several women in the Los Angeles area going as far back as 2016.

Born Kaalan Walker, KR was arrested on Sept. 11 by detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Station. He was subsequently released then arrested again on Sept. 26 and has been in custody since. The arrest came as the result of a series of sexual assault allegations for which KR, 23, was arraigned for on Tuesday (Oct. 23).

In total, KR is facing nine felony assault allegations, according to NBC Los Angeles, but police believe there may be more. Several aspiring models have accused the rapper of conning them into thinking he would help their musical and acting careers. Instead, the women said they were raped by the "Pop Out" rapper when he was alone with them.

"In each of the cases, aspiring models were contacted by Walker via social media with the premise of being hired to work professionally," according to an LAPD statement. "While alone, each of the victims reported that Walker sexually assaulted them."

According to Los Angeles County Sheriffs Office records, the rapper was released four days after his initial arrest on Sept. 15. NBC LA reports that following the arraignment this week, KR is being held at the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles on a bail of $1.08 million.

XXL has reached out to KR's team for a statement.

KR released his In Due Time album in July. He also scored a role in the Superfly remake earlier this year. His musical and acting career appear to be up in the air in the wake of these charges.
