RAW VIDEO: Annual Waco Fireworks Show Stops

Tens of thousands of Central Texans went home disappointed after a malfunction cut short Waco's annual Fourth on the Brazos fireworks show on Thursday night. The fireworks display originally set for 30 minutes only lasted about 10 minutes according to reports.

“We will make this up to you Waco!” Brazos Nights organizers posted on their Facebook page.

So what was the malfunction? Well, if you were in your charge to set off $15,000 worth of fireworks, it may be a good thing to check the batteries, right? The company in charge of the show, Fort Worth-based Atlas Enterprises, was unable to locate a battery necessary for launching the fireworks.

“We understand this was a disappointment, and we are very apologetic that it wasn’t the beautiful show we expected it to be,” Atlas Enterprises’ general manager Steve Frantz said in a statement.

But that wasn't the only problem on Thursday night, the sprinklers came on in Indian Spring Park, drenching many spectators gathered there.
