Meek Mill reportedly has been transferred from the maximum-security prison at Camp Hill, near Harrisburg, Pa., where he was initially held in solitary confinement for his protection.

The Philly rapper is currently locked up at the medium-security state prison in Chester, Pa., reports Philly.com.

According to TMZ, Meek will have a little bit more freedom at the facility. He can now go out into the yard and play ball or jog in the morning or afternoon. Meek also will have to get a job at the prison, which pays 19 cents an hour.

Also, contrary to reports, Meek Mill will not get a new bail hearing. A clerical error on a document released Friday (Nov. 17) led to the incorrect report.

Meanwhile, the New York Times recently published an op-ed piece by JAY-Z where he wrote that "We could literally shut down jails if we treated people on parole or probation more fairly."
