The thought of moving anywhere other than where you live currently is annoying. Whether you're settled in comfortably or genuinely looking to make a change, no one likes all the lifting, packing, and worrying over how it's going to go. I recently moved from Alabama to Temple, Texas, and while live here has been pleasant so far, the actual moving part...not so much.

So, I wanted to share what I learned in hopes that it'll help anyone else making the move to this booming part of Central Texas.

For me, it was the first time in a while having to move from one place to another. Also it required me to move halfway across the country. I have plenty of moving experience now, to say the least.

Am I happy that I now have that reminder that moving is annoying? Yes and no.

Yes, because I now remember how to help expedite the process and how I can make things easier on myself. I can also plan out things in a much easier way, since this was technically the first time I moved for a job. It was also rather exciting moving to a new place to start anew.

As for the no part, nobody ever really likes moving. It's beyond stressful. You have to lift heavy things. And on top of the that, everything is just so heavy. (I've been told I need to go to the gym by after moving I don't even want to touch a weight bar for the rest of my life.)

So to help those who are struggling with the thought of moving, I've put together a few things to be aware of when you're getting ready for the moment. And yes, if you shudder at some of these items, we all understand.

I was excited to move to Temple and start a new chapter in my life, and while life here's been good so far, the moving part...well, not so much. Here are a few things I learned that might help you out if you're looking to make this place home.
