Nike to Bring Back the Air Skylon II
Nike is bringing back another classic silhouette from their archives this summer. Originally released in 1990, the Swoosh will reintroduce the Air Skylon II training sneaker to the public.
Launching in three colorways, Nike’s Air Skylon features a bold mesh upper with a molded, phylon foam on the heel and forefront of the shoes. Sitting atop white midsoles, the sneakers include an exposed laced collar with extra tapping on the toe front and heel. A chunky outsole with added traction is incorporated at the bottom of the shoes to provide runners with extra grip.
The Nike Air Skylon II was first unveiled in March of 2018 by designer Jun Takahashi during Undercover’s Paris Fashion Week show. Originally revealed in an unreleased red and blue makeup, this version is expected to drop at some point this fall, along with other colorways.
The Nike Skylon II will release this summer in three iterations at select Nike retailers, accounts worldwide and online at nike.com.
