Snooki has lived a pretty tame life post-'Jersey Shore,' but a certain 'Jersey Shore' town wants nothing to do with the pint-sized reality starlet.

Berkeley Island, N.J. is protesting Ms. Snickers from filming her spinoff series, 'Snooki + J-Woww,' on its sand and surf.

Berkeley Island residents of the Pelican Island neighborhood have gone as far as hiring a lawyer to block MTV from filming in the town.

"This is a quiet, friendly island that's being put on the map for the wrong reasons," resident Sue Kosakowski whined. "It's a disgrace."

The residents are nervous that the show will attract too many visitors with too much booze in their systems and not enough consideration for the people who actually live there full time.

They're especially worried in light of the shore's recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy, which would be somewhat understandable if the very circus they're scared of would bring some much-needed revenue to the area.

And believe it or not, Snooki made some pretty valid points. She posted a screencap of the NJ.com piece that broke the story, captioning it as follows:

"Unable how adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on. This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There's much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood."

It's also worth noting that Snooki doesn't even drink anymore and she'd be living in the rented house with her son, Lorenzo.

She added some tweets this morning driving that point home:

And her little man, Lorenzo, is "sweeping haters away" in another Instagram shot, because, well, haters are gonna hate.
