Grammy-nominated artist and all-around badass Pink was recently featured in Redbook magazine, opening up about her reconciliation with her husband (former freestyle motorcross racer Carey Hart) and discussing how she's convinced herself she's not pretty -- thanks to a whole lot of help from idiots on the outside.

"A 'girl like me' is someone who doesn't rest on her looks, who has had people tell me from day one, 'You're never going to get magazine covers because you are not pretty enough.' I'm totally comfortable with that," Pink admitted during her interview.

Instead, the majority of her happiness comes from Hart and their almost 2-year-old daughter, Willow.

"I was always considered butch. Feeling beautiful to me is when I feel good in my leather pants and my husband grabs my ass," she revealed. "Or when I'm sitting on a mat and my daughter runs to me with complete joy. Beautiful has never been my goal. Joy is my goal."

Pink and Hart married in 2006 and separated in 2008, but they stayed friends -- and about a year later, he invited her to his club to perform on New Year's. She agreed and arrived with a photo album documenting their relationship in hand, which she had been diligently working on for months.

“On the last page, I pasted a photo of me from a really bad movie I made years ago with my neck slit and blood everywhere. Next to it I wrote, 'This is me without you.' On the next page, there was a picture of a baby. And I wrote: 'The rest is unwritten,'" she said.

"The divorce papers that we never signed were behind that page. I was like, 'The rest is up to you.' And I did all of this in his favorite bra and panties."

Obviously, the magical lingerie worked. The couple reconciled and Willow was born in 2011.

Redbook will literally hit newsstands on Feb. 12. No, seriously, if television has taught us anything it's that delivery people have a flagrant disregard for their product, so Redbook will likely be thrown at a newsstand near you next week.
