Playboi Carti Arrested for Domestic Battery at LAX

It seems rappers are having a rough time at the airport. Playboi Carti had an incident at the Los Angeles International Airport involving his girlfriend.

According to TMZ, the “Magnolia” rhymer and his girlfriend were engaged in a heated argument while leaving LAX on Thursday night (July 6). Playboi allegedly began pushing his girlfriend and yanking her backpack before forcing her into an Uber.

Apparently, an eyewitness called the police who confronted Playboi and his girlfriend. Subsequently, the 21-year-old rapper was arrested on misdemeanor domestic battery. His significant other wasn’t arrested.

According to the police report (per TMZ), the female was arguing with Playboi because he wanted her to call her mother to check in but she didn’t want to. From there, Playboi took her cell phone and manhandled her by pulling her backpack. He also claims that she hit him. The eyewitness told police that she saw red marks on the woman’s chest.

In the end, Playboi was arrested and released on $20,000 bail on Friday (July 7).

Playboi Carti isn’t the only rapper who had some issues at the airport. Migos recently was booted off a Delta flight for allegedly not following the crew members' instructions. However, the ATL group claim they were being racially profiled.

In the end, rappers are having a tough time trying to fly the friendly skies.
