Q Money is wanted by DeKalb County Police for the murder of a 24-year-old fellow up-and-coming Cleveland rapper.

According to a police report The Atlanta Journal-Constitution documented in a piece they published on Wednesday (April 17), witnesses say the 23-year-old rapper, born Qamar Williams, was standing above a dead man who had been shot on the side of the head inside a Georgia home. A roommate reportedly witnessed the shooting and ran to wake the victim’s cousin and the pair took the gun away from Q Money before forcing him out of the home and locking him out.

Police arrived on the scene on Monday (April 15), and according to a report Cleveland.com published Thursday (April 18), DeKalb County police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer says Q Money has been charged with murder.

When police arrived at the residence, they discovered several shell casings and guns throughout the home. According to the police report, Q Money may have known the victim because they were both rappers from Ohio. The victim’s cousin told authorities that the man had been rooming with him for only three or four days before he was killed. Surveillance cameras were reportedly installed in the home, which would indicate the murder could be in surveillance footage.

The whereabouts of Q Money, whom XXL profiled for The Break last fall, are unknown at this time and the investigation is reportedly still ongoing.

XXL has reached out to Q Money's team for comment.
