Round Rock Express to Host Special Screening of “The Sandlot” at Dell Diamond
Summer time means baseball and there are few baseball films that you know almost all the lines to, even if you aren't a big baseball fan like I am, everyone knows, "You're killin' me Smalls" line from 'The Sandlot' movie.
'The Sandlot' celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and our local professional baseball team, the Round Rock Express are hosting a special screening of the iconic baseball film tonight (June 25) on Dell Diamond's HD LED video board.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for the special event with a "first-pitch" time of 7:05. Tickets are $8 and children age two and under are free. Fans can purchase a special four-pack of tickets for just $25. 'Sandlot' director and narrator of the film, David Mickey Evans, will introduce the screening and will host a Q&A session with fun giveaways and be available for autographs and pictures.
