Search Continues for Missing Texas State Student Jason Landry

Authorities and volunteers in Caldwell County, Texas continued their search Monday for a Texas State University student Jason Landry, who's been missing since being involved in a single-car crash a week ago.

KHOU-TV reports that Jason was driving from San Marcus to his home in Missouri City when he crashed his vehicle in Luling. Officials found the vehicle Landry was driving on his way home for the Winter break, but the 21-year-old student is still missing.

Investigators believe that Landry most likely left the scene of the accident on foot, but his cellphone was found inside of his wrecked vehicle. Scent dogs led the search party to a nearby pond, which was then drained. Unfortunately the pond did not turn up any further leads.

Landry's parents are desperate to find their missing son, and are praying for a Christmas miracle. Landry may be critically injured, and most likely alone. The 21-year-old is described as a white male who is just over six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Officials plan to keep searching the area by horse, foot, and even drone. Hopefully they are able to find Landry and bring him home.
