Shocking: Round Rock, Texas Administrator Allegedly Videoed Pushing Student
A incident at a Round Rock, Texas school has resulted in an investigation that removed one administrator from the campus grounds. The incident in question had happened earlier this year, in the month of May.
The Incident Described
KXAN has the details of what happened in the school, GOALS Learning Center, in May. According to emails obtained by the student's mother, Tatiana Alfano, her child was instructed to go to a "cool down room" inside the facility. The student was reported to have been yelling profanities at his teacher.
Video also shows the child trying to get back into the classroom, and then being taken to the cool down room. When taken to the cool down room, the unidentified administrator appears in the second video taken from the school, showing the admin outside of the cool down room.
When the two teachers that escorted the child left the area, the child also tried to leave the area. Video allegedly shows the administrator pushing the child back into the room, with the child hitting his head on the wall. The child proceeded to get back up and try to throw punches at staff. The school's report of the incident also said the child spit at the staff after hitting his head.
Following this, the student was then held to the ground by the administrator and two other staff members. The student was also heard on video yelling "I hate it here."
Actions Following The Incident
Tatiana Alfano was able to view videos of the incident ten days after it occurred. Alfano has also hired an attorney to help possibly change the way incidents like this are handled.
When reached for comment by KXAN, the administrator, at the time of writing, has not responded. Round Rock ISD also stated that the investigation is complete, with the end result being described as a personal matter.
