Actor Tom Guiry, who played Scott Smalls in the '90s comedy movie "The Sandlot," has been released from custody after he head-butted a police officer at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston over the weekend, TMZ reports.

A United Airlines employee reportedly told the actor that he was too drunk to fly and called the authorities. A police officer responded to the scene and said that the actor might choose whether he wanted to be arrested for public intoxication or being held in a drunk tank until he sobered up.

Guidry allegedly verbally abused and even threatened the officer. The actor also allegedly tried to kick the officer in the face in addition to the head-butting. 'Smalls' was booked for felony assault on a police officer and was later released after posting $5,000 bail.
