There are a couple hundred soldiers competing on Fort Hood this week for the title of "Best Fort Hood Fighter".

Today is the final day of the 3 day competition that is free and open to the public. Some of today's events at the Abrams Fitness Center will feature a MMA style cage match.

Men and Women are both a part of the event that Fort Hood says brings the soldiers closer together. The fights also help keep soldiers sharp and one step ahead of enemies overseas. Many of the matches feature martial arts, wresting, along with several styles of combat.

Tournament referee Aaron Rapoza told KCEN TV that "not everyone has deployed before so a competition like this let's soldiers push their bodies, push their limits to prevail, overcome and succeed."
