Speed Reduction On West Adams Avenue (FM 2305)

Within the last week a speed reduction has taken effect along West Adams Avenue in Temple. The speed limit has been reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph.

While some residents saw the change as a surprise over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, the change was made by the city council around the 17th of this month. When headed towards Temple, you'll notice the new speed limit signs just in front of the new Walmart.

The ordinance lowers the speed limit from 50 to 45 along FM 2305 from Loop 363 to South Pea Ridge Road. The change comes after the Texas Department of Transportation conducted a speed study. The results showed a reduction in the speed limit was necessary.
