UPDATE: On Thursday afternoon (May 9), TMZ posted surveillance footage from the scene of the shooting.

In the footage, you can see a car speeding down the same street as the studio, and as the car heads down the strip, you can hear gunshots as sparks fly from the passenger's seat of the vehicle.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Offset has reportedly just narrowly avoided a drive-by shooting.

According to a report TMZ published Thursday (May 9), the recording studio in which Offset was recording was shot up on Wednesday night (May 8). Thankfully, the Migos rapper was not injured in the shooting—but at least one witness on the scene is of the belief that those bullets were meant for him.

Witnesses say the shooting occurred just after Offset had briefly gone outside. He had returned inside and was recording when the bullets rang out around 9 p.m., and though he was not hit, it's being reported that at least one other person may have been shot in the leg. Police have been unable to locate the alleged victim as of yet.

The bullets did cause some damage, however. Three vehicles were shot in the melee, as well as the building's exterior and at least one apartment window. Sources have confirmed to the celebrity news site that there is surveillance footage of the entire incident, so hopefully, it will help police find the suspects.

As for Offset, he was reportedly gone by the time cops showed up to investigate and has not yet spoken to any law enforcement about the incident. They will likely get in touch with him in the near future, however.

This comes after a tumultuous few weeks for Offset. He was recently hit with a felony arrest warrant for smacking a phone out of a fan's hand at a local Target, as well as three charges stemming from his July 2018 arrest–one of which is a felony charge for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

XXL has reached out to Offset's team for comment.
