T.I. Says Kanye West Is at Peace With Himself, Back to the “Old ‘Ye”
T.I. says the old Kanye West is back.
Tip attended Yeezy's surprise Atlanta stop of Sunday Service this past Sunday (Sept. 15), where other notable names like 2 Chainz, Jermaine Dupri, Chris Tucker and Nelly appeared as well. Taking to Instagram following the service, Tip had some kind words to share about his longtime friend.
"No matter what go on...He’s Always gon be my brother," he wrote with a fist emoji. "Love to see him at peace with his self again. Felt like the old Ye’... With a new purpose. Made my day. #SundayService."
Back in October, T.I.'s sentiments on 'Ye weren't exactly the same. Following Kanye taking a meeting with President Trump, Tip called him out in a scathing post on Instagram.
"Now I’ve been extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions about Ye’& his antics... Partially due to the lessons learned from the outcome of other similar situations dealing wit my brother Wayne (which I admittedly mishandled a bit in hindsight) But now this shit is next level, futuristic Sambo,Hopping Bob, Stephen off Django ass shit Ye!!!!" T.I. wrote. "From what I can gather... This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, Embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen."
It's good to see that the pair have gotten on a better page. As for Sunday Service, the AJC reports that over 600 people were in attendance at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, led by Senior Pastor Jamal H. Bryant.
