Temple, Texas Man Now Charged With Sex With A Child

The mother of a Troy, Texas girl has told police that Kesean Demond Bowens, 24 of Temple, had sex with her young daughter this past year. Detectives then interviewed the child, and she claimed to have had sex with Bowens in both the home of the child in Troy and Bowen's home in Temple.

According to inmate details with the Bell County Inmate Inquiry Portal, Bowens has been booked into the Bell County Jail, and is being held on a $250,000 bond. According to police records, this is the second time Bowens has been arrested in the past two months.

Why was Temple, Texas resident Bowens previously arrested?

According to this article with KWTX, Bowens own mother had him arrested just two days after his birthday in November of 2023 for stealing her car that she said she was originally letting him borrow to go to work. However, since he was currently unemployed, she wanted it back.

Based on the article's information, Bowens mother was allowing him to borrow the vehicle as transportation to and from work, but since he was unemployed, she wanted it back and he refused to return it.

Bowens will now most likely remain in the Bell County Jail until he is bonded out, or passes through the full cycle of the courts within the justice system.
