Temple Police Investigating Fatal Accident on Southwest HK Dodgen Loop

Temple Police Department's Accident Reconstruction team was working to determine what caused an elderly driver to veer off the road and hit a retaining wall early Friday morning.

Officers discovered 69-year-old Peter Zoeller in a blue Toyota Camry in the area of 1901 SW HK Dodge Loop around 5:45 AM. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where he later passed away as a result of injuries sustained after he left the roadway.

A witness told officers Zoeller's vehicle veered off the road into the grass and hit a brick retaining wall.

The accident remained under investigation late Friday morning.
