Kingsland, Texas is a beautiful small town right at the confluence of the Llano and Colorado Rivers about one hour northwest of Austin and roughly the same amount of time southwest of Killeen on Lake LBJ. Located on King Court, which is more or less the de facto downtown for Kingsland, Texas. Located in this sleepy little town is a monster of a surprise as the house the film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was actually filmed in, and now it is a restaurant called Hooper's.

You might not know this, but the classic movie is actually celebrating 50 years since its release in October of 1974, and ya just know there was zero chance the most recognizable setting from that iconic movie was going to sit out having an epic party with it also being Halloween.

If you are ever vacationing in the Marble Falls through Buchanan Dam area, Hooper's is definitely a must see location. They even have a really nice porch and sports bar area to spend a beautiful afternoon touring the house and checking out all of the incredible props and history.
