Texas Chocolate Warning: New Recall For Candy Overrun With Mold

Chocolate sold across Texas has just been recalled due to being ravaged with mold growth contamination after customers received a very unwelcome surprise upon opening their candy. My wife thinks I have an unrealistic fear of these types of things happening to our family, but it is always stories like this that create the complex and why I absolutely refuse to make impulse purchases.

My three kids always want to grab candy from the exit lanes whenever we are shopping, and my wife calls me "Gargamel" for always objecting to their figuratively sticky fingers becoming literally sticky upon receiving their retail reward for simply tagging along on the trip to the store. At this point, I am almost entirely convinced that the cost of a babysitter for the three of them would be a net win compared to all the extra stretching the budget does whenever they are in tow for a shopping trip.

I guess if there is a silver lining to other shoppers' habits of impulse purchasing is we were able to discover a mold issue for a popular brand of chocolate that is now being recalled from Marshalls across Texas.

Three different lot numbers with sell by dates of March 2025 for Montreal Fudge have all been recalled. Keep an eye out for 0241500805; 0241690105; 0241690205; if you have any of them you should take them back for a full refund, or simply throw them away.
