Celina, Texas has recently evolved from a quiet little town just east of the Denton and Collin County lines, and it apparently is no secret to anyone seeking a new home in the Lone Star State. Just 4 years ago, Celina (Pronounced Sil-EYE-nuh - similar to Salina, Kansas) had a very small town feeling with a population at the 2020 census of just under 17,000 residents.

In the three years immediately following the census, Celina has more than doubled their population by ballooning to over 43,000 people calling the community their home. If you do not have a calculator handy, or do the percentages thing, that means the town grew at a rate of 143%.

One such person that has recently made Celina home is country star Corey Kent. He and his wife were raising their family in Frisco, but he shared that they decided it was becoming too crowded, so they also headed further north of Dallas to Celina.

One of the cons of relocating to Celina is it still is a bit of a haul to get into the downtowns of both of the anchor cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. The major pros of making this your new home is growth like this forces the whole town to keep up, so you will be the first to enjoy new roads, schools, and another amenities because just about everything will be brand new.
