Ellison Vs Cove Is Back For New Texas Football Season

Killeen, Texas and Copperas Cove will get a little more familiar with each other on Friday, August 30th when the Cove Bulldawgs and Ellison Eagles break their huddles for the first game of the new 2024 Texas high school football season. It has been several years since these two programs have squared off in the regular season, and with both coaches now being in their current positions for the last 3 years, they were excited to find room on their mutual schedules to bring back a much loved rivalry.

Over the many years of cinema, there have been dozens of films centered around the Friday Night Lights experience of football in the Lone Star State. This is not to say that football is not loved just about everywhere, but there is something truly special about heading to the local stadium with your family, getting reasonably priced concessions, and enjoying young student athletes compete in a game that is enjoyed by multigenerational families.
