Legendary Texas Restaurant Now Preparing For Epic Comeback
There are a whole lot of reasons to keep the history of the past alive in Texas especially when that history runs so deep it can be considered among the most legendary in the entire existence of the Lone Star State. It is not often you are given the opportunity to sit in the same room as people who once fought in the American Civil War, but soon you will once again in Salado.

Stagecoach Inn began construction in 1852 as a stopover for the once endless stagecoach trail that connected the now "Hold my beer, I can make that in an hour," 100 miles from Waco to Austin. The hotel began receiving guests in 1860 before the Civil War began the following year.
The restaurant did not open until almost 90 years later in 1947, but still has been able to boast plenty of history too with a guest list featuring American Presidents and First Ladies. More importantly, the hushpuppies are returning.

Legendary Texas Restaurant Now Preparing For Epic Comeback
The name of both the hotel and restaurant have changed over the years, but opening soon this fall will be the once again christened Stagecoach Restaurant. From a water stop in the old west stagecoach trail to hosting 5 star celebrities, and rightfully taking its place on the National Register of Historic Places, Stagecoach Restaurant and Stagecoach Inn's best days look to still be ahead.
