Texas Teachers Beware! New Challenge May Have Students Trying To Slap You
I have grown to absolutely love TikTok!
From watching videos of people lip-syncing and acting out their favorite movie scenes, to "influencers" cooking things in 3 minutes, everything you love is on there.
With the app, you get to see how weird/funny/ talented regular people are, who aren't on TV or in movies.
Parents get to act like they are cool and do dances with their kids, and kids get to show how goofy their parents are. Everyone's happy, right?
Then there are the dumb Tiktok challenges.
Like the latest one - to smack your teacher.
KWTX reports the slap-a-teacher challenge is making its rounds on the famous app, and teachers should be on high alert that students may try this here in Texas.
Allegedly, the challenge encourages students to slap a teacher or administrator and run before being caught.
And it’s all caught on camera and shared with the world, of course.
With the new obsession of gaining likes and popularity, online teachers should be on high alert.
Last week in South Carolina, a student smacked a teacher in the back of the head. The school district wrote a letter to parents warning that if their child participates in the challenge, the school district will hold the student responsible both legally and academically, meaning they'd face charges and will be expelled.
Reportedly in South Carolina, they have punished multiple students for engaging in this popular TickTock challenge.
