In our home Thanksgiving dinner and dessert are two different things because nobody has the belly space or energy to attempt them back to back. A resting period is required.

It is an insult to both the dinner and desserts if you do not apply the proper attention and calorie allotment. Of course in Texas, we love our pecan, chess, and silk pies.
