
Texas Theology Professor Now Charged With Child Pornography
Fort Worth, Texas is the home to several colleges and universities like Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan University, and within the campus of TCU you will find Brite Divinity School which is separate in its operations from TCU. On Wednesday, warrants were issued at the home of a now former faculty member at Brite Divinity School and at their office that is on campus at TCU.

Immediately upon hearing of the details of the warrant and the criminal complaint against their faculty member, he was fired, and a spokes person for Brite Divinity School released this statement,
"We are cooperating fully with law enforcement and are grateful for their service in protecting children from abuse of any kind. We keep in our prayers all of those hurt by this horrific situation, especially the children."
According to this article with Fox 4, not a lot of additional information is available including the volume of pornography allegedly in the defendant Charles Bellinger's possession, or if any of it was actually on campus within his office.
Texas Theology Professor Now Charged With Child Pornography
According to the above video, Bellinger has a PhD in Theology and Ethics from the University of Virginia, and appears to have been working in academia for about 30 years.
Bellinger bonded out of the Tarrant County jail after posting a bond of $30,000. He has been fired from his job, and there is no word yet on when he is scheduled to appear in court.
