
Warning: Waffles Now Being Recalled In Texas For Deadly Contaminate
Our Texas family is very fortunate because our favorite breakfast is the same for all three kids, and if you have children you know that the mathematical probability that they will all agree on anything ever is just about the same odds as hitting the Powerball. On the weekends we love to make a big after church Sunday brunch, and that means preparing everything from scratch, but we all know getting out the door with breakfast in everyone bellies during the week is a much greater challenge.

We regularly prepare chicken and waffles on Sundays. Early in the week, there is always the possibility a leftover waffle or two might be ready to reheat before the family is off for the day, but later in the week we have to rely on the frozen stuff just like everyone else.
More than 500 types of frozen waffles are being pulled right now due to the possibility of Listeria. The company TreeHouse Foods is the manufacturer, and many of their products are sold under the store brand name like Walmart's Great Value, or Target's Good and Gather.

At this time, nobody has reported getting ill from the potential Listeria contamination, but as always, it makes much more sense to be cautious and avoid these frozen waffles.

The good news is, the kids can steal eat the fried chicken, and probably not even miss the waffles.
