The City of Temple Invites You To Movies in the Park
The City of Temple is ready for Spring and Summer with some great, family friendly events.
Gather up the kids and get ready for Movies in the Park!
This is a fun, family friendly, free event happening at Miller Park. 1919 N 1st St in Temple on Saturday, May 22 with gates opening at 6:30pm and the The Croods: A New Age starting at sunset.
No registration is required and it's "first come first serve" for the "Social Squares." There will be no vendors on site so bring a picnic dinner to enjoy. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in place to keep you and your family safe.
What's allowed:
- Baby Strollers
- Purse
- Diaper Bags
- Cameras
- Portable/collapsible chair
- Blankets
- Picnic Baskets
What's not allowed:
- Drones or any other remote flying device
- Glass containers of any kind
- Illegal and Illicit substances of any kind
- Non-collapsible chairs
- Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, carts or any personal motorized vehicles (Exceptions will be made for medical use)
- Tents, canopies, or shade structures of any kind
And mark your calendars for Hot Summer Sounds brought to you by The Scott and White Health Plan. Hot Summer Sounds starts up on June 4th 80's Obsession and June 11th with The Blues Posse. Both shows will be at Miller Park.
June 18 is Landon Landon Heights and June 25 is Tejano Storm Band. Both shows will be at West Temple Park 8420 W Adams Ave.
Santa Fe Plaza at 301 W Ave A will host The Selfless Lovers on July 9th and Clint Allen Janisch Band on July 16.
Hot Summer Sounds concludes at Lions Park (Sam Farrow) Amphitheater 4205-4319 Lions Park Dr, with Hair Metal Giants on July 23 and Wayworn Traveler on July 30.
All the shows are free and start at 7:30pm.
The City of Temple is asking that you follow all social distancing safety rules and reminds you that by attending any of their events, you voluntarily assume all risks to exposure of COVID-19.
