The Texas Tech Red Raiders come up short for the NCAA Men’s Championship
The Texas Tech Red Raiders had a great season, but to lose in the NCAA title game has to be heartbroken.
After a defensive showdown, and trailing the Virginia Cavaliers throughout most of the game, and then going into overtime the Red Raiders lost to the Virginia Cavaliers 85-77.
.
Brandon Francis finished with 17 points Jarrett Culver had 15 points and David Moretti contributed 15 points in the Red Raiders loss.
At the beginning of the tournament not a lot of people selected Virginia and Texas Tech to be the last two teams in the tournament, which led to a lot of busted brackets but those who stayed true to the Virginia Cavaliers can celebrate a victory tonight as they win their first NCAA championship in the school's history!
The Red Raiders of Texas Tech have nothing to hang their heads about congratulations on a great season!
