The NFL Draft is a moment that many NFL fans, like myself, always get excited for. It's a chance to see if your favorite team will draft a player that you love or absolutely disagree with.

Another group it's certainly exciting for is the college players themselves. This is what they've been working for their entire life, after all - a chance to play in the big leagues and maybe even earn themselves a chance for a ring or two.

One such school that many keep their eye on is none other than the University of Texas. The Longhorns have a storied history in college football, and while some have disdain for them, nobody can say they haven't left their mark on the game.

This past weekend was the moment everyone was waiting for, albeit from Las Vegas. The NFL Draft was underway. Teams both picked and traded for the players they wanted.

While all of this chaos was going on, many players waited to hear their name called. In total, 262 players got their moment.

Except...the Longhorns had no players from their squad last year picked. No players were selected from the University of Texas.

According to the Dallas Morning News, this isn't the first this has happened either. In 2014, it occurred for the first time. Two players were projected to be chosen in various mock drafts, but those never came to fruition.

Oklahoma and Baylor on the other hand had 7 and 6 players drafted respectively. If anything, Steve Sarkisian certainly has a lot of work to do in this upcoming college football season.
