Another school in Central Texas is shutting down and going virtual.

Indian Spring Middle School in Waco shut their doors early today to begin the switch to online learning in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

According to KWTX, the school's principal released a statement to parents reading, "While only two people at our campus have reported testing positive for COVID-19 so far this week, a significant number of employees are currently quarantining as a result of those and earlier cases. Most of our educators are able to teach remotely."

While the school is transitioning to remote learning, this change is only expected to last for the next five days. During the time, the school will be deep cleaned and sanitized.

Other schools in Waco have also closed their campuses recently due to COVID-19. G.W. Carver Middle School and Lake Air Montessori Magnet School have suspended on-campus learning until next Wednesday.
