What Most Girls Really Want for Valentine’s Day

Its such crap that all women want is jewelry and flowers for Valentines Day! Not unless you're just a materialistic gold digger does that stuff even matter!

This is one day out of all the other days in the year to try and be genuinely romantic! Flowers are always a nice touch mostly because you can throw it in other chicks faces but your stuck trying to maintain another living thing and then they eventually die. So while I am saying I love to get flowers get me something sentimental to go with them. Something not any other guy would be able to give me (and I'm not talking you junk wrapped in a bow)!

Write me a letter and make it longer than five sentences.

In the letter talk about the first time we met, the moment (or any moment) you realized you loved (or liked) me,  what getting to know me has been like. Talk about the good and the bad, the fights and the making up. Let me know in three words how you would describe me.

One word can be physical one funny and the other intimate, maybe something only you would think I am. Most importantly talk about how your life has changed since "us" and what you hope the future holds.

Girls eat this crap up! You could even frame your favorite picture of the two of you!

In a era of text and email knowing you sat down to write me something is more intimate then any piece of jewelry!

Mimi's DONT'S on V-DAY

Do not propose! How lame are you? On Valentines Day? I want my own day, I don't want to share it with millions of other chicks!

Do not only get me flowers and nothing else. At least attempt to do something, ANYTHING!

Do not get drunk! It's so easy to finish a couple bottles of wine when you're in the mood,  but take it easy.Romance movies and novels never involve SLOPPY SALLY or DIZZY DAN getting lucky in the end (other thanKnocked Up and we all know how that ended.)  You can party and drink anytime--show her sober you is what she deserves. Plus the ending might be "happier".

Do not be so funny. This isn't open mic night it is okay to be serious sometimes.

Mimi's Do's

Do be respectful. Allow yourself to listen and enjoy when she talks about her feelings and talk about yours. She already cares about you, so you don't have to be the coolest guy in the room.

Do be honest. Tell her about how nervous she used to make you when she walked in a room, how her smile reminds you how beautiful a person she is.

Do take time to shower and get dressed! You're making reservations at a nice restaurant, but you're going to show up in your sweat work clothes? She is worth a shower! Get sexy! Shave and iron your clothes, please. This isn't a typical day, so keep that in mind!

Do be original.  Take her somewhere she hasn't been before, or someplace that signifies something important to her. If she loves the stars, set up a backyard pallet of cushions so you can watch them together. Too cold for a night outside? Get star stickers and put them on the ceiling. If she is a spiritual person, take five minutes out of your day to read somehing inspirational and share it with her.

Do surprise her. Do something unexpected, that she never thought you would do. She will be so impressed.

Do open your heart. Allow Valentine's Day to bring out and inspire that warm fuzzy you that most men hide deep away.
