XXL Releases G-Unit Documentary Part One [VIDEO]
To coincide with XXL's G-Unit cover story, the publication has released the documentary detailing the group's bitter breakup and now harmonious reunion.
The 42-minute clip is more of an in-depth Q&A session than your average documentary. Group members 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Kidd Kidd are all sitting at a roundtable as they reflect on their early beginnings and how they formed G-Unit.
The film was shot at 50's famed Connecticut mansion, which is the same place where the last XXL G-Unit cover was shot in May 2008. Director Kellen Dengler helmed the cameras while the mag's Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Satten asked the important questions.
Grab a sandwich, a tall drink and pull up a chair. This an interesting video on the rise of rap's ultimate crew.
XXL's final print issue with G-Unit on the cover is on newsstands now.
