A press releases announced the partnership, and for a limited time only, the new clothing line will be available at Academy Sports and Outdoors stores here in Texas and online from Academy's website and Whataburger's website.

Academy Sports + Outdoors’ senior vice president of marketing, Lawrence Lobpries, says,  “This is the first-ever collaboration between Whataburger and Academy Sports + Outdoors’ exclusive Magellan Outdoors brand – it’s the secret sauce to fishing fashion. We’re excited to pair two iconic Texas brands together for a fun summer treat you can only find at Academy.”

The collection offers a variety of choices including long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, hats, swim trunks, and more. Plus a contest gives you the opportunity to win some very cool Whataburger branded merch, including Whataburger for a year and a $500 Academy gift card.
