Bell County Deputies Searching for Missing Elderly Woman

UPDATE: The missing elderly woman, identified as Ronette Hodges, 78, has been found safe.

Constable Fred Churchill reported Friday that Hodges was spotted by a kayaker around 8:30 AM Friday along the Lampasas River near Gavel Crossing and FM 2484. She'd sustained minor injuries, but was expected to be OK.

Emergency responders were aided in reaching her by another boater.

Deputies in Bell County were searching or a missing elderly woman a few miles north of Youngsport Thursday.

The Bell County Sheriff's Department reported that the search was centered at the intersection of Live Oak Cemetery Road and FM 2484.

The missing senior was described as a 78-year-old white woman with gray hair last seen wearing a blue short sleeved sweater and knit pants.

Officials say the woman has Alzheimer’s. They have not released her name or a photo.
