Starting today, small business owners can begin to apply for a COVID relief grant.

According to KWTX, If you own a small business in Belton, now is the time to apply for the federal government relief grant. Today marks the first day of phase one on which companies may apply for up to $2000 in funds.

This relief grant is made possible by the CARES ACT, which was set aside earlier this year. The Central Texas Council of Governments will distribute all funds.

The application has a few questions Business Owners must answer, such as:
· Number of employees
· Impact of COVID-19 on business
· Proposed use of funding
· If funds applied for and received from elsewhere
· Did business close and operate on a limited capacity
· Certification of accuracy of information provided.

The deadline for applications is 5 pm, September 28th.
