If you live in the City of Belton and you've fallen behind on utility payments due to COVID-19, good news: help is available.

The United Way of Central Texas has teamed with the City of Belton to offer financial assistance to those who need help paying their utility bill.

KWTX reports that the COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund has $10,000 available to Belton residents who are Belton utility customers and may need some help covering their current bill.

Act fast as officials say $10,000 should be enough to cover only about 50 households.

To apply, The United way has provided a form to complete and return along with additional documents including a photo ID, paycheck stubs and current utility bill. Get that form HERE.

Residents with any questions can email covidrelief@uwct.org.
