Beyonce, Jay Z & Kanye West Featured in Classic Paintings

Ever wonder what it would be like if today's hip-hop and R&B artists were portrayed in classic works of art? No, we're not talking about Jay Z's performance art piece 'Picasso Baby' or Kanye's cover for 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,' but something a bit older.

Take a look at the Carter Family Portrait Gallery, a Tumblr page created by an anonymous artist who's taken some of the art world's most famous paintings and inserted Jay Z, Beyonce, Blue Ivy, Kanye West to make it look like they are the actual subjects portrayed in these masterpieces.

Paintings from greats like Pablo Picasso, Gustav Klimt and Vincent Van Gogh are re-imagined with the rappers and singers in the works of art. Standout pieces include Beyonce as 'The Girl with a Pearl Earring,' painted by Johannes Vermeer; Bey and Jay depicted in Grant Wood's 'American Gothic' painting and Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' -- this piece not only portrays Jay as Jesus but also includes Barack and Michelle Obama, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Oprah. There's even Beyonce as da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa.'

This is clearly not your typical fan art.
