Blue Ivy Carter has a bright future ahead of her.

Saturday night some of the most influential people of color gathered in LA for an evening of celebration where they honored trailblazers and phenomenal entertainers with an NAACP Image Award.

The NAACP Image Award is an annual awards ceremony presented by the U.S.-based National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to honor outstanding performances in film, television, music, and literature.

At just 8 years old Blue Ivy is now the youngest person to receive such an honor after taking home the award for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration, along with her mother Beyonce

Blue Ivy has been credited for singing and writing on ‘Brown Skin Girl’ from the Album The Gift.

This is such an outstanding achievement!

She's definitely taking after both her mother and her father.
