Burglar Breaks into Safe at Temple’s Unfinished Furniture

Temple police are investigating after a burglar broke into a furniture store, then cracked a safe and stole thousands of dollars and other precious items.

Nia Harden with KWTX-TV writes that the burglary was reported shortly before 7 AM Wednesday at Unfinished Furniture, 812 South General Bruce Dr.

The burglar seems to have broken in through a window, then bore a hole in the center of the safe's door.

$2,700 in cash, an LED tac light, American Eagle gold coins, and several other gold and silver coins were stolen.

Police were still investigating Friday, and hope a blood sample found on the window through which the burglar entered the store will help identify the suspect.
