Central TX DPS Office Will Reopen Friday For Limited Service

This Friday, the Texas Department of Public Safety will open its offices in Central Texas. 

According to KWTX, the DPS office will open with limited service that includes: Applying for a TX learner license, applying for an original driver's license or id card, applying for a CDL or taking the CDL skills test and a drivers license services requiring a skills exam.

All residents must set up an appointment online for service and come prepared for a screening. Each screening will consist of several questions as well as getting your temperature taken. Those taking a driving test must wear a mask. 

The office will not be renewing licenses yet! If your license has expired after March 13th you can continue driving with the expired identification card until offices fully reopen.
