Central TX Humane Society Is Waiving Adoption Fees This Weekend

Are you looking to add a fur baby to your family? Now maybe the best time because Animal Shelters all over the CenTex is filling up fast. According to KXXV, The Humane Society of Central TX in Waco has almost reached capacity and they're filling up fast.

Jenny Luper, the director of life saving operations say's ”Right now we are really full. Last night when I check, we were at 137 dogs. So, we are pretty close to max capacity,”

During this time it's typical to have a ton of animals in the shelter due to owners leaving their pets home, runaways and more. This time around shelters are seeing an increase due to the recent storms and it's much worse.

How can you help? Stop by and adopt a pet. With both cats and dogs available the adoption center in Waco is waving adoption fees for this Saturday to help these animals find a forever home.
