Christmas Break Came Early For Marlin ISD

Christmas break came early for some kids in the Central TX school district.

If your child attends Marlin ISD classes are cancelled for Thursday and Friday. There has been a high percentage of absences due to illness and the districts are taking precaution to ensure the germ/virus doesn't spread

Classes on Thursday and Friday have been cancelled because of “a high percentage of absences due to illness,” Marlin ISD Chief Financial Officer Patricia Lewis said in a brief press release Wednesday.

The school closure applies only to students, she said.

Classes resume after the holiday on Jan. 7.
