What Happened?

Around 2:30 PM Saturday, June 26, Temple officers responded to a report of gunfire at Club Paradise, 1722 S. Martin Luther King Dr. When they arrived, they found abandoned guns and spent shell casings in the parking lot.

Police were given security footage that showed several people fighting, which escalated into several people opening fire on each other. Officers also received reports of three people who had been admitted to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The Footage is Intense

What's really disturbing (to me at least) is that the security footage police released shows one man holding a baby, and there's a young child near him who runs in terror as the shooting starts.

Making the Arrests

Temple PD PR Specialist Alejandra Arreguin reported Tuesday that Florence and Brown were taken into custody Monday, July 19 around 3 PM during what she called a "felony stop". The two had warrants for deadly conduct in relation to the Club Paradise shooting.
