Oh No! Competitive Eater from Kempner Fails at Copperas Cove Doughnut Challenge
Meet Greg Wilson, a competitive eater from Kempner.
Wilson is a competitive eater with his own YouTube channel called "Savage Eating", and he recently took on an eating challenge at Shipley Do-Nuts in Copperas Cove.
It didn't end well.
Here's a video from his YouTube channel, in which Greg takes on the "Stampede Challenge" at BlackMeg 43 in Killeen.
According to the Killeen Daily Herald, Wilson was at Shipley Do-Nuts in Copperas Cove attempting to eat 41 doughnuts and other pastries when the unthinkable happened: he had what's called a "reversal."
A "reversal" is exactly what it sounds like. Instead of his food going down, it came back up. In other words, he threw up while he was eating his 30th doughnut and that immediately ended the challenge.
Wilson tells Thaddeus Imerman with KDH, “I was coming in a little cocky, thinking it was only going to be 4, maybe 5 pounds, but their doughnuts and all of their other pastries are heavy.”
Wilson says there was a mistake in judging how much each doughnut weighed. He was estimating each doughnut at 2 ounces a piece, while the ones he was eating were around 4 or 5 ounces. After 29 doughnuts and three and a half Diet Cokes, Wilson figures he consumed around 10 or 11 pounds during the challenge.
Wilson says that although he didn't finish what he set out to eat, he still considers it a good challenge.

You'll get 'em next time, Greg!
