DJ Mustard ran into some trouble while trying to catch a flight at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday (Dec. 8), as he was detained and his associate was arrested, after a gun was discovered during a TSA screening.

According to TMZ, Mustard and a friend were attempting to catch a flight when one of their bags was singled out as containing a handgun. Police allege both men then tried to walk away without retrieving the bag, but they were stopped and detained by law enforcement.

A .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol was discovered in the bag. The gun was loaded. The two men were separated and questioned by authorities. It was later determined by surveillance footage that the producer's friend was the one packing the heat. He was then arrested.

Mustard was later questioned by a TMZ cameraman about the incident, and he seemed confused (or unwilling to speak) about the whole situation. "I didn't bring no gun through here," he said. "I don't know. I don't know what they have on him. I don't know what you are talking about."

Mustard ended up leaving the airport in a car, and apparently missed the flight to his original destination.

In other Mustard-related news, the Cali beat maker recently landed a gig as music supervisor on Russell Simmons' upcoming All Def Comedy series. Music-wise, he is slated to drop a new project with L.A.'s RJ soon.
