Downtown Bryan Is Celebrating Pride Month

Happy Pride Month!

The month of June kicks off the start of Pride Month all around the world. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. I

Throughout the month there are typically parades, parties and all type of festivals and now it looks like Downtown Bryan is joining in on the fun

A local non profit organization, I Heart Bryan is hosting their first-ever Come Out in Downtown Bryan celebration this Friday, June 4, from 5 to 9 P.M.

Residents can come to and enjoy a day of fun while learning about the LBTQ community that surrounds the area.
