Earlier today the vehicle registration office on Priest Drive was closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
Shay Luedeke told the Killeen Daily Herald that an employee tested positive and two other employees will be tested for the coronavirus.
Reportedly, 15 employees work at that particular Killeen office located at 307 Priest Drive that had only re-opened by appointment, back on May 4th.
Because of the diagnosis, the Killeen vehicle registration office will be closed until July 2nd.
The office will now be cleaned nightly by maintenance staff and Luedeke suggests to reschedule all upcoming appointments in neighboring in Belton and Temple.
According to the Bell County Health District's website, 9 people have died from the confirmed 699 cases of the Corona Virus in Bell County.
There is free COVID-19 testing in Killeen today at The Jackson Professional Learning Center, and tomorrow Saturday, June 20th at First Church Of God in Christ, but the supply is limited, log on to this website to set up an appointment.
